Join us on a guided walk to learn about our native habitat and find out who of our "Rio Grande Valley Specialty Birds" can be spotted. This walk is for all visitors, young or old who wants to learn about wildlife, the park, and its bird life. Bring water, one-hour easy trail walk.
All ages and skill-levels are welcome on this two-hour tour of the park, finding as many species of birds as possible, especially the 30 that are termed Valley Specialties!
Learn how Native Peoples used plants to survive in the Chihuahuan Desert Join a Certified Master Herbalist and Master Gardener for a look at how Native Peoples utilized the plants of Hueco Tanks to make food, medicine, clothing, tools, weapons, and so much more. This popular program continues this year each Thursday at 9 am. Meet at the Interpretive Center to walk an adoptable dog from the local Grand Companions animal shelter. Give these dogs a great experience while maybe making a forever 4-legged friend! Wear sturdy shoes Bring WATER! This program is approximately 1 hour.
